A new pattern has established in the CVI board where a spammer/bot tries to gain a rank by posting a message and replying to it several times marking answers as solutions.
Even if the discussion is deleted, the user and its solutions count remain and messes up board ranks as you can see in this image where users with no posts and a number of solutions are highlighted:
The same applies for images that those users may have posted to the forum: they are still listed and visible.
(I would have considered a good policy to permanently delete the users and all related stuff when they are found posting spam and nothing else, but evidently this is not true)

I've been seeing this on other boards as well. I mark things as spam when I run into them. I'm not sure there is any follow-up NI could do after seeing something marked as spam, such as deleting the offending account.

We're going to take a deeper look at this. There's not an easy, out of the box, way to remove a solution maker after an item is marked as spam. We can do that before, though, so if we can catch it, we'll do that as a practice.
I'm also going to see if there's an option through a customization. I agree it's a problem.
Thanks,
Mark

A new discussion that follows this paradigma has been posted to the CVI board so you have a fresh new item to study and where to experiment possible solutions.
