  1. First attach your icon to a post here in this thread.
  2. submit the post.
  3. Right-click on the attachment link and "copy shortcut"
  4. Now go to your profile.
  5. go to the icons tab.
  6. At the bottom, there is a field to add a custom icon.
  7. Paste the link from step 3.
  8. click "add icon"

And now you should go to your profile singature definition and make sure you add a <\center> at the end of it. Currently you don't undo the centerning used inside your sig, making the attachment links also centered

(Arguably the forum software should be able to correct such problems automatically. HTML from the sig should no leak into subsequent fields).

Altenbach,
that was an adventure Smiley Very Happy  I dutifully did as I was told, looked at that page, and the attachment text was left justified.  Then I realized that what I did didn't look right, so I changed it to </center> ( vs <\center> ) and it was still left justified.  After a couple of minutes of confusion I opened IE and looked at it without the end center and it was centered!  I use Firefox, and it was correcting the HTML error Smiley Wink  All is right now.  Thank you.

Here is something I noticed.

I added basically the same signature once I saw yours because I passed the CLAD back in May.

If there is an attachment, there is an extra little dash between the signature line and the attachment.  If there is no attachment, the extra little dash isn't there.  You can see it on your message 295.  But Altenbach's messages with a signatrue and an attachment do not show this little blue dash.

What's up with that?

And that explains my confusion as well. It looked right on my screen.

I attempt to not use Internet Exploder as much as possible.

Sure it does, but it's centered, just like the attachment filename.
