Idea Exchange New Layout
I searched but couldn't find a place where people were commenting on the new layout being applied to the Idea Exchange, I admit it might be in the general feedback thread that is now 12 pages.
So previously the Idea Exchange had a layout that was quite different from the forums when viewed from the higher level view. Often I would just feel like browsing the idea exchange for new ideas and it was a useful view that was different than the forums because the first post would mostly be shown in its entirety before going into the thread, including the useful pictures and diagrams the submitter made.
Now when you go to the idea exchange it just looks like a normal subforum list of threads and it is harder to browse quickly. I went through the Top Kudoed category and thought I was seeing a ton of new posts, but instead what I was seeing was the walls of text that I had read before, but I wasn't seeing the useful diagrams and pictures. I assume many of us are very visual learners, (based on our career choice) and as a result will remember threads quickly just by seeing a simple picture that expresses the idea discussed.
I think the idea exchange in the past looked different from the normal threads for a reason in the past, and I'd suggest it also should look different from the forums moving forward.
Also I can't remember for sure but I don't think the old idea exchange had so much stuff on the left for navigation, and such, which meant more useable space for the preview of the idea because it was the full width of the window.
