Great observation!
When we went live with the new forum software, we had new functionality that we wanted to leverage, but we weren't exactly sure how it would be adopted. One of the things we struggled with was the board architecture. Should we keep the boards product-focused or move to an application-focused approach? If we had a hybrid solution with separate product and application boards available, would it be clear which ones were being monitored by NI support engineers and which ones weren't? Our solution was to pilot some of these "non-support" boards and see if they took off. The two Job forums and the Life Science forums were our first attempts. The Job forums took off early, so we brought them mainstream. The Life Science board has had a slower start to building an active community, so we have kept it off the main list of boards for now. The board is currently available from both the LV Zone page and the Life Science focused pages on our site.
Thanks for the great question!
