Naming the Next Rank

The bars and other icons should be a link to a page that explains what each level is and in turn also has links to a sorted list of all members of each level.

Yes Yes Yes, it is quite hard to find it out!

Second the step from 200-2000 posts is quite enourmous.... maybe more than three levels?

I know the perfect gift that NI can give out for Knights of NI. I only have Sir Bors and the Black Knight. Smiley Very Happy

Thank you for that link Dennis.  I must admit I didn't fully get the reference to Knights of NI until I clicked on it  🙂

Ben, I'll post this thread to the announcements when I update them on Monday and after we get a good list to vote on, we'll have a poll.

Thanks,
Laura

P.S.  ThinkGeek is a great website!

A title for someone with over 2000 posts....

Passionate?

Proven Passionate Veteran....  Sounds like Hugh Hefner really.

The next two come courtesy of my rather large distance to the 2000 post park:

Obsessive?
Freaky?

Shane.

On LAVA, they can customize their title after they get to 500 postings.

Anyone interested in a "fill in the blank" option?

Just throwing out ideas....

I think a blank to set a free text is not a good idea - because there will come the time with hundreds of different "titles".

Although I like Ben's idea "Knight of NI Order of the ...", it does not really fit (Proven Knight of NI Order of the white rabbit Veteran).

A few years ago I used to play "Unreal Tournament" (those where the really good times ;)). In this game you could get different rankings like Killing Spree, Rampage, Dominating, Unstoppable or Godlike. OK - Killing Spree would not be necessary, but I think we should stick to a version that extends wordwise.

What about Active, Enthusiastic, Unstoppable, Godlike?

The idea of having a link to a page where these rankings are explained is excellent - I fully support it.

Agreed. Unless we change the rules completely after you hit 2K. Then we toss the bars and use another scheme.

There was a at least one mention of changing the thresholds. If we do this, we must first clear it with those that have put in the effort to reach the current levels. I really do not like changing the rules in the middle of a game. Smiley Wink

I found this terms years ago when Dennis first crossed into the 4 digits.

"altruist"

As in "proven altruistic veteran"

altruism - 1 unselfish regard for or devotion to the welfare of others 2 behaviour by an animal that is not beneficial to or may be harmful to itself but that benefits the survival of the species.
