I've been noticing recently that someone has been giving one-star ratings to posts that have been posted in non-English.

This hardly seems "friendly", and frankly makes the forums look like they consist of American nationalistic weenies.

Can this be stopped?

I agree that this is not a friendly practice.  I think it is probably a user that would like to see these messages posted to one of our language specific forums.  However, I think instead of a 1 star rating the more appropriate thing to do is to reply to the thread with a link to the appropriate forum. 

Unfortunately, there is no way for me to currently stop this practice without taking ratings privileges away from everyone.  However, I am optimistic that we will see improvements to our forum ratings system this year that will eliminate this issue.  I don't know a specific date when we will get these improvements, but I know our forum vendor is currently working on this feature.
