Only unfloating boards requires a confirmation

Laura, I just found out something: when floating a board you're asked to confirm it from inside the board itself you are asked to confirm it. When unfloating, you are not. I would expect either that it would be the other way around or that both would require confirmation.

Why is this important? Well, my normal MO is this: I have several boards of interest floated and I log in several times a day, see if there are any posts of interest and after skimming all the new threads, I clear the board so that I can easily know when there are new posts. When I did it now, however, I accidentally unfloated the board instead of clearing it. In this case, I realized my mistake immediately, since I saw there were still unread posts, but I could have missed it as well.

Obviously, this isn't a critical issue, just someone to bring to Lithium's attention, along with the board- floating-order-doesn't-stick issue.

Hi tst,

I tried floating and unfloating boards from both the main page and from the Board Options menu, but I don't see a confirmation page either way..... It is the board you are floating, correct?

Thanks,
Laura

This only happens when floating from inside the board, not from the main page.

Go into any board, select Board Options>>Float this Board to the Top and you should get this page:

Is it possible that you don't see it because you're an admin?

Hi tst,

You were right about this issue - I see the confirmation page when using a non-admin account.  I added this request to my list.

Thanks!
Laura
