I'm going to blame this one on our IT dept. doing something to screw up the connection to the internet. Last week they sent out an e-mail to people blaming them for slowing the network down for too many "non-business related" activities. I didn't see any problems until after that e-mail came out. Though I don't remember any issues with any other websites I visited.
Friday things were acting up. It was like the webpage was not getting dowloaded, or only partially downloaded. Keep refreshing and you might get lucky and more will download. Though it was rare for a page to be 100% correct. I went home and had no problems with the forums over the weekend. Come in on Tuesday, and it was still acting up at work. But sometime after lunch, everything started to behave properly again.
So my theory, IT screwed up the network and then figured out how to fix it. Although I don't know why the problem only seemed to manifest itself with the forums. But considering no one else popped in and said they saw similar problems, I think the problem was with our corporate internet connection.
