Hi wiebe,
thanks for your effort, but that's not quite what I meant!
From markwni I received a notification looking like this:
Even though you included the "@GerdW" link in your message I did not get this "@mention" notification.
What do I need to do to induce the same "@mention" notification to other users?
@GerdW ,
I'm not all that experienced, but as far as I can tell, the only difference between @markwni's @mentions and others is a non-breaking space after the @mention:

<li-user login="GerdW" uid="16916"></li-user> ,

I also noticed that the only person I've received an @mention notification from is @markwni .
Besides your post here, the only other @mention notification I've read about came from @Kristi_Martinez .
So if this message doesn't give you an @mention... Maybe it only works if it comes from the community team?

Hi all,
On the "@ mention" issue. We were not aware this was not working for others. We will do some investigation and see what we can discover.
Thank you,
Mark

An update on the @ mention issue. At this time only the administrators have the ability to trigger a mention notification. We have identified the core issue and are investigating ways to address it.
Thank you,
