While reading the
to-star-or-not-to-star thread, I noticed the blurb about star-sabotaging. Being paranoid, I worried about having picked-up a trojan here on the forum and having my profile used for doing mean things.
As a general rule, I don't run anything from anybody - except, occasionally, VIs from this forum. Sometimes nothing happens when a downloaded VI is launched - and then I really worry.
I think there are others who, like me - maybe too nievely - run downloaded VIs. Are there any steps I might follow to be safer? Sometimes I worry about hidden-stuff in the diagram, is there an easy way to expose the hidden code? (LV7.1)
Any good-intentioned advice is appreciated. !
