Retiring participants

Stimulated by the suggestion of retiring posts here one possibly could also re-consider the naming scheme of forum participants. Looking at much earlier posts one will find 'active participants' whose most recent post is 6 years old... Smiley Surprised

Thank you for the suggestion. I think this is a good idea and one that we should consider the next time that we update the forum ranks.

Maybe everybody who hasn't visited (not posted!) in a year (or two) could be called an "inactive participant" 😄

 

Of course there might be a lot of lurkers. They shouldn't be forced to post once in a while just to retain their status. The status should be based on the most recent visit, not on the posting activity.

 

Also remember that there are many other forms of participation that don't involve posting (giving kudos, voting on ideas, blogging elsewhere about forum discussions, etc.).
