Technical Checker like Spell Checker

I was just wondering if NI have any plans of implementing a Technical checker, just like the Spell check option we have when posting messages/ideas etc.

The newer members in the forum tend to sometimes incorrectly spell NI devices and it's related software or concepts sometimes. And since a even small change in technical specifications can be confusing, it takes longer for the people who want to help.

Example, if some accidently miss-spells a NI PXI-7813R as a NI PXI 813R, when the post is posted, a pop up message could be deployed to confirm whether he has got the right device. If he says yes, then another pop up could be displayed saying this device does not exist with NI.

If I may add, another useful and easy check could be between specific words in the post and the board addressed. I mean, if the post contains "VI" and the board is the CVI one (it happens quite often) a message could be prompted warning for the wrong board (it should be let the possibility to confirm the post, though, e.g. in case the author wants to speak about interoperability between the two environments). Similarly if the post contains CVI and is posted in the LV board.

Proud to use LW/CVI from 3.1 on.

Good point Roberto.

Basically, the idea will be to make the forums much more easier for interpretation. It can sometimes be confusing in the event of information being posted in the wrong forum etc. along when wrong/umkonwn devices are mentioned. This can cause delays in solving problems and helping others and at the same time learning.

Ofcourse the other main problem is patience! As some (me included) would be pulling my hair out if someone spells LabVIEW in 5 different ways in a single thread!

Also, it would be a good practice for begineers to adhere to, spelling, conciseness and accuracy of posts, the thread in which it is posted etc.

I understand this would mean a lot of obtacles for the developers of this site, but it could well be a good idea to look into for the future.

Another thing I have noticed is that the Announcements when you go into all the discussion page does not have a date, maybe this is something that can be looked into?

Here is what I mean. Both 'Ray.R' and 'tst' became Knights of NI a while back.
