Charly, go look here.
Maybe that will teach you and Ben something about assumptions.

Try as I may to just let y'all go for a while, I keep getting coaxed back into the Excahnge. I almost went for the posting about model railroading but that was durring working hours so I had help in resisting that ploy.
That ain't nothing!
Please see my initial posting to the "Sea story" thread found here.

You just will not be happy until we start calling you "she-he-it". Say that ten times fast and you will see why I have been holding back.
I intend to get back to the Exchange after I have completed the design required to keep our developers busy durring NI Week.
BTW I am going to try to do the "On the Scene reporter" thing to keep everyone up to date on what is happning. I am borrowing a digital camara to support that effort.
I do miss Y'all,
Ben

Ok, I tried!
CC asked me to take care of the list while he was away. I was not able to get the code to work and I have exceeded the time I allocated for this task.
I will try again to get this posted later this week. Please accept my appologies in the event something notworthy took place.

List issue n° 31
Since most of our senior Enthusiasts are gone for a few holydays in Austin, I felt obliged to come back a bit earlier just to maintain some activity here ;).
Not a lot of changes within the last 2 weeks : as usual, the best runners have been tst, Dennis Knutson and altenbach... Except that tst seems to have established a new activity record : more than 18 replies/day over the last 2 weeks, with a peak at 33 r/d !!! Of course, keeping this astonishing climbing rate, he'll reach the Nirvana level before the next week-end (91 replies to go / 18 = 5 days) !
To be fair with our most active members, I have added a new column : reply rate over the last 3 months. 244 members have been active over this period , while 31 Enthusiasts have had an average activity of at least 1 reply/day. Don't you think you could do better ?
Means also than half of the List members are not active. May be I'll propose soon to create a special class or list for the "fossil" enthusiasts.
Welcome to 10 new members : Laura F., ChrisJ, Makoto, Intern2005, Broken Arrow, RobertH, AndreasH_Ha, Diego M., fieldbus and nandini.
The List holds now 526 names !

Welcome back CC!
That's a long list. Maybe your definition of an Enthusiats needs to be re-defined.
What is your current criteria? Do you count all posts? As in questions and answers? or answers only? Maybe activity over the past 6 months could be considered... which would not be fair for LVguru..
tough one.. but that's why you're the List Mah-Stah!
😉
PS: I still hold the record for the most breaks... followed by Ben.. I gatta spend less time in Breakpoint... Or Ben should start "yakkin" again!!
😄

JLV,
According to NI, an Enthusiast should have given 2000 contributions (questions + replies).
The List is just a record of all those who gave at least 50 replies. There have been some discussions about the different "varieties" of Enthusiasts but no strict definition. We have been celebrating the crossings of the nK levels without regard to the actual content of the given replies (and that's a chance for user n°2483 ;))
I have a running project using multivariate data analysis. To date, I can separate replying Enthusiasts from asking Enthusiasts, but I'm not satisfied with the quantitative aspects.
My current opinion is that all the long term contributors to the forum are Enthusiasts, whatever their technical level. To be an Enthusiast, all you need is enthusiasm about LabVIEW : pleasure to use it, and pleasure to share your feellings about it with others. And we should avoid a confusion between Enthusiasm and Expertise...
