The LIST 2

Bonjour Joe90 !

I believed froggies had a sharp sense of humour ;)! If your login had been Joe95, I would have written "... born in 1995..." 😄
Nevertheless, seems that nobody has been surprized. 15 years old LV programmers are probably more numerous than I thought...

List issue n° 35 (Last)

There are 99% chances that this will be the last issue of the List 2. It depends on the number of flaws that you will detect in the attached documents : a test issue of the first E-List, to be opened with E-ListVIEW 2.0a (LV 7.0).

To make things easier, you can choose the columns to be displayed. Have a look to the "Customize" menu.

Could you please report any problem either in the file content (check your own scores and the scores of the people around you) and in ListVIEW (apart those already signaled in the List VIEW Help of course...). Disregard the Enthusiasm index which needs to be recalculated.

Well, for the first time, it opens without broken arrow. Smiley Happy
Since you asked for feedback, I couldn't help but comment how the second while loop at the top is totally unnecessary.

Thanks Michael !

I agree with you. This loop was added because the color updating of the table was rather low. Putting it in a separate loop was a solution to keep a respondind user interface. However since I did some optimization, the response time is now much better. I'll have a look to see if the loop is still desirable or not.

OK, some remarks.

The first and biggest problem, which everyone will run into, is that the ini file has to be created before the table fills. This means that the list loads empty and you have to use the customize menu, reload the file and then customize and reload again. Attached is the ini file. Place it in the same directory before running version 2 and it should be fine.

I still don't like all the flickering and recoloring, but I guess that can't be worked around.

Other points include

  • the Customize menu close button, which has no panel close event connected to it.
  • Some of the column names (breaks, rank, URL...) have the first letter only partially visible.
  • Some users still have a sleep time of over 100 years.
  • If the login column is selected to appear, it seems to have the same width problems as the prefered boards column (width being set by the header).
  • There is a very weird issue with the table size. When my window is maximized, the table fills only about half the window (vertically). If I make the window not maximized (something that also happens every time I run the VI), the table only shows a few rows, and the left table stays the same size it was until you scroll the right table down. From then on, both table resize with the window (although they are still too small).

I think that's enough as a beginning.
