Who's been messing with the formatting?

I get that often most of the time with XP/IE8.  I'll have to check with Firefox..

Ravens Fan - I see the bad formatting issue with compatibility on.  Is that the case for you or is it really with compatibility off?

Edit: Also I just double-checked and the autosave problems happen with compatibility on, so if you see the same behavior as me hopefully you can use IE8 with compatibility off for now.

Also, I was expected the autosave bug to be fixed soon so I will double-check on that.

Thanks,

Laura

It really is with compatibility mode off.

Compatibility mode on, problem with autosave, formatting of the message grid is fine.

Compatibility mode off,  no problem with autosave, but the formatting of the message grid had problems with some lines droppin lower than they should.  Sometimes more, sometimes less.  Sometimes they will completely drop into the messages below.

Thank you all for your replies. This experience must be very frustrating and I apologize. I currently have different issues open for the different items. Combined they make the forum experience quite unpleasant in IE8 so I will be attempting to raise the severity of these issues.

Thank you again for your patience.

Laura

Actually, this morning it's on Firefox. I.e., it looks like the stylesheet isn't being "gotten". No changes were made to my system. Windows XP, SP3. Firefox 3.6.13. Posting this on IE because I can actually see what I'm doing.

Still happening? I don't see any problems... I'm going to find someone with XP to check.

Thanks,

Laura

Ok, found someone with XP and we don't see the issue here. Please report back when you can.

Yes, I was still seeing the issue this morning. For most of the morning. At least until 10 AM (Central Time). It's gone now. Note: I am referring to the problem I saw in my first post. Others have been bringing up other problems in this thread, so I wanted to make sure you knew which one I was referring to.

I'm seeing the problem from the first posting on my work laptop, using Firefox 3.6.13, WinXP Pro. I'm not seeing it with my personal laptop WIn7 Firefox 3.6.13. Did the clear cookies, cache, etc. to no avail. It was working last night at 1930EST not working at 0800EST.  On work computer it looks ok in I.E. 6 (hey, they said they were going upgrade our I.E. browsers a year ago!)  Weird!

Ha, ha, refreshed screen on my laptop and it too is displaying the "non formatted" columns as in the original post. Am posting this on the work laptop in IE, which showed the page correctly but has messed up this entry screen, with the reply buttons stretching across 1/3 of the page and this text entry screen showing roughly 20 chars across. Argh!!!

The next time you see formatting issues in Firefox, can you please grab a screenshot? I've seen the issues in IE and need to know what's going on in Firefox. The other thing that was requested is to grab the html source of the page when you see it messed up and paste it into a text file.

Thanks,

Laura

This particular issue should have been fixed last night. Please let me know if you still see it.
