If I compose a post and paste some text from the LabVIEW help, e.g. the title of the
, then try to turn it into regular text using the "clear formatting" function (the Tx button), nothing happens.
(The workaround is to paste it in html mode instead. Now it looks like this: Multiply Function.)
I wonder if the "clear formatting" button could be made a bit more functional. It should remove all html tags that are part of the selected text. For example, the above has "h1" tags that it does not touch. It should even remove links, I guess.
Note that the above pasted into the gmail editor gets cleaned up properly using the (apparently not equivalent) "remove formatting (Ctrl-\)" tool.

Hi Christian,
Unfortunately, this is an old issue as reported previously here.
We do have an upcoming upgrade to the text editor feature, although it is unclear if this particular function will work any different / better.
As you stated, the best workaround is to paste into the HTML view, or else use Ctrl+Shift+V to paste as plain text.
Thanks,
Lili
