"Sort Messages by Latest Post Date in each Thread" Not Sticking

For sure this time it looks like this issue has been fixed. Smiley Happy  I have had the tick box unchecked for over a week on the test system and it hasn't rechecked itself. This fix has been pushed to the external system so is should be good now.  Can you please confirm smercurio_fc?

Thanks!

Seems to be working so far - I'll let you know if it stops working.

Of course, I had to get used to the always stuck on "Sort messages by latest post in thread" mode, so now I have to get used to my original method to view boards. Smiley Very Happy

Since my post it seems to be working. However, I did find a bug. When I receive an email that tells me a message has been posted in a thread to which I replied, and I click the link in the email, I'm taken to the message, and it looks like I'm automatically logged in. However, the setting of this preference does get applied. I have to logout and log back in for the setting to take.

Hello smercurio,

Thanks for the update!  However, I haven't been able to reproduce the behavior you are seeing.  What I have done to try is first closed my internet browser (IE in this case), clicked on a subscription notification email link, and then gone to a forum such as LabVIEW.  My user name shows in the upper left hand corner, and I can see that this option must be unchecked by looking at the latest post date and time.

Does this accurately reflect how you are recreating this problem?

Thanks!
