Did you mean:

www.LabVIEW.com ≠ www.ni.com/labview

if i type labview.com in google the first result is www.labview.com and if i click from there i still get the invalid url error but if i click the "download labview" or the link marked below it correctly goes to the proper site.

Can you try clearing your cache and see if that makes a difference?

I'll let the team know you are still seeing issues although I have no idea why it would work here but not for others.

Thanks,

Laura

Cache cleared, computer rebooted, tested on Chrome and IE from two separate ISP's from three different computers.

Maybe for the same reason that you folks can access ae.natinst.com, but everybody else in the world can't. Smiley Wink

I've updated the issue so that the web team still knows this is a problem.

Thanks,

Laura

Thanks, Laura, I just tested a few moments ago and can confirm I'm still seeing the same problem.

According to Robtex, one of the name-servers of NI is butthead.natinst.com

Awesome!

Did he say 'LabVIEW'

Uh-huh

AUSTIN, WE HAVE A PROBLEM.

OK, this is no longer a matter of convenience anymore - it's a matter of principle. My boss would be shooting flaming arrows up my nethers if I ignored our flagship product's domain for over a month, and two weeks after multiple customers confirmed the problem.

Honestly, it's not really that big of an inconvenience to me - I only use labview.com a few times a week as an entry point to the forums, product pages, or online help. <sarcasm> If this bug is on next quarter's or next year's buglist schedule for the web team, let me know, and I'll try to remember not to go to labview.com, and hopefully in the meantime nobody is reckless enough to assume that labview.com is a valid domain. </sarcasm>

<sarcasm>

As a developer myself, I know that having repeatable bugs is very important, so I'll walk you through how I am able to reproduce this bug:

  1. Go to any computer connected through any ISP using IE8, Chrome, or Firefox running on XP, Vista, or Windows 7. Do so at any time of the day for the past month.
  2. Type in labview.com. Press Enter. It will fail.

</sarcasm>

Maybe it's just me - I'm just not good at the internet.
