AI-110 Module - What happens if Current input is shorted?

I have an AI-110 Module with 4 current inputs using a Vsup of 28vdc. What happens if Current input is shorted? Is the current limiting resistor enough to protect the module or should the power to the module be fused?

The [c]FP-AI-110 modules are protected to 30 mA and have an input impedance of 100 Ohms. Thus, they can only handle up to 3 Volts without damaging the high precision input resistor. If a regular risk of short circuits is a possibility, you should add some protection to the system.
