AO-200

Hi, got a problem with the AO-200, it is connected with the FP1000 Network Interface that is connected to the 24VDC power supply, I connect the terminals V and C of the power supply to both modules. I'm using the channels 0 and 1, so I connect the wires in the terminals 1, 3 (+) and 2, 4 (-) and those are used to control a Samson PID and a Frequency Variator, and those are well connected to their respective analog inputs. When running the Test. iak, with the 3.5 - 21 mA attribute, the red leds of the channels 2-7 turn red and the 0 and 1 remain shut. The I run the LabView AO-200 VI and a mistake appears saying that the outputs are out of range: FP Write. In other tests I've connected the wires to a resistor (100 ohm) and a VOM in series but nothing runs through it and the same mistakes comes to the screen. I really don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but I guess so, because we own a couple of AO-200 modules and both don't work, so malfunction for both is a little bizarre, on the other hand, in other project I have an AO-210 working just fine and is wired just the same so I don't know if they are supposed to be wired differently or what........ Got help? Thanks.

Chandus,

The Out of Range error indicates that the value you are writing to the channel is not valid. With the channels set to 3.5 - 21 mA, in LabVIEW, with the localized decimal set to ".", you would need to write a value of 0.005 for 5 mA.

For wiring mistakes on the [c]FP-AO-200, you will more commonly see the error "Open Current Loop".
