Bank is not responding

I am trying to deploy my application to a Compact Fieldpoint system with a cFP-2120 controller. The application is currently working fine on another system. I have successfully changed the IP address and upgraded the software (using the Measurement and Automation tool) to Fieldpint 6.0.4 - Dec 2008 which is the same version running on the other system. I built the application but when I tried to deploy the application I got the following error: "Bank is not responding or module not found." and the exclamation point was on the device "cFP-2120@0". Using Measurement and Automation and when I hit the Find Devices button the device is shown in the list.

Hi davidreed10,

Generally, this error message implies that the cFP-2120 is powered off or offline. What controller are you using in your other system? Have you made any other changes to cFP-2120 other than change its IP address and upgrade the software to FieldPoint 6.0.4? When you say you hit the Find Devices button and the device is shown in the list, which list are you talking about?

Thank you for choosing National Instruments.

Aaron,

Thanks for responding. I am attaching two screen shots that I hope will better describe my problem. The first shows the Measurement & Automation screen. The "Find Devices" button that I was referring to earlier is shown at the upper center of the screen shot. You can see that M&A detected the cFP-2120 module because there isn't a red 'x' next to the cFP1 icon. I have successfully completed the process on the two cRIO devices. I have been doing them one at a time and only have one powered up during the software upgrade and application download processes. The second screenshot shows the error that I get when I try to deploy my application. I rebuilt the application before I deployed exactly like I had done on the two cRIO devices.

The other system that I am trying to duplicate has the exact same hardware so it is also a cFP-2120 controller.

The only other thing that I have done is try to deploy my application to the cFP-2120 controller.

Hopefully, that answers your questions and gives you a better idea of the problem I am having.

Hi davidreed10,

In your project, when you right-click on your target and select Connect, do you get the same error? Have your tried formatting the cFP-2120 from MAX and reinstalling the software on it from a clean slate?

Thank you for choosing National Instruments.

As it turns out I just solved my problem. Using M&A I changed the IP address to a different address. I was then able to deploy my project application. I then went back and changed to the original IP address and repeated. Oddly enough it worked with the original address. I'm not sure what was wrong originally since I was able to reboot the remote system using M&A. Maybe I had an un-displayable character in the IP address in my Labview project file.

Thanks for all your help.
