CCD analog output

I'm considering using some FieldPoint Products for and application I have in mind. I was looking for some feedback. I've got a couple of CCD (Charge-Coupled Devices) that transmit an analog signal that I want to feed to a DAQ for analysis. These CCD's are remotely located about 300' from where the DAQs are located. I'm trying to reduce as much noise into the orignal signal as possible....so I was tossing around the idea of just running shielded cable directly from the DCCs to the DAQ or using the fieldpoint with ethernet. As a future option, the site where the CCDs are located I was considering adding some automation for a calibration routine. I would appreciate any feedback or comments.

Terry,

Using some sort of ethernet based hardware is probably the best bet.  Cables that long make me nervous.  I've had good luck with the compact fieldpoint units.  Just remember that the analog input modules are not real fast.  What kind of data rates are you expecting?  Depending on the acquisistion rate, you may need to look at something like a Compact RIO.
