Can't configure Fieldpoint I/O modules in MAX

I cannot detect hardware I/O modules on my FieldPoint Module via MAX. The ethernet module works, has a valid IP address, will reboot on command from MAX, but gives "The connection to a remote device timed out" error when I click the "Find Devices" button at the top. I have changed the "communication timeout settings" and had it up to 100 seconds, with no change in the problem other than having to wait that long before the error message pops up. I have since reset that setting back to 5000ms (5 sec.). I find nothing in the manuals which addresses this problem. I have never had this (or any other, for that matter) FieldPoint module working, so my knowledge of proper configuration and setup is limited. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I forgot to mention that this is an FP-2000, with FP-TC-120 (8-Ch T/C module), FP-DI-300 (8-Ch Discrete Input module), FP-DO-410 (8-Ch Protected Discrete Output module), and FP-AI-110 (8-Ch Analog Input module). Oddly enough, I was able to download a vi to this unit and run it via the frontpanel displayed on my desktop PC. The vi displays the current time on an external LED display via the (FP module's) com1 port. The time is wrong however, despite thet fact that the time server appears to be properly configured in MAX as my desktop PC from which the program was downloaded in the first place.

Hello Ed,

I see that you are having a few troubles with getting your Compact FieldPoint module working. It sounds like the most serious issue is that you are unable to establish communication to the device to Find the Devices.

I did some searching and I found that the same question is addressed in some forums and KnowledgBases. I found these by searching for "find devices time out fieldpoint":
KnowledgeBase: My FieldPoint Device Times Out when I Try to Find Devices in Measurement and Automati...
Forum: I have problems to find devices in MAX of my FP-2000 connected with ethernet

These should get you pointed in the right direction.
