I can't understand where the problem is and what I shoul do in order to resolve it.

Chiossi,
I think you should also be checking the software versions that are installed on your cRIO Realtime Controller.
You can do this from MAX by browsing to Remote Systems>>[cRIOName or IP Address]>>Software>>RightClick>>Add/Remove Software. This should bring up the list of softwares installed on the controller. Versions on Host and RT must match in order for everything to work fine.

After you have checked the software versions, you should configure the cRIO RT Controller VISA Options and allow the Host IP to access the controller (usually enter a * character to allow unlimited access). Last but not least, go to the Host VISA Options tab and enable accessing the resorces on the remote IP of the controller.

Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot AlessioD.
I did like you said and I solved the problem.
As you can see I am a really new user of LabVIEW. Do you know any book or reference for new user like me to suggest?
Something like "LabVIEW fo dummies"?!

thank in  advance.

Marco.

I realize that this is an old post but I also can't ethernet communicate with a CompactRIO 9012.   MAX searches when I press F5 but after a few seconds simply returns to Remote Systems status not indicating why it was not able to establish communications with the cRio.  The cRio does not show up on the Router's DHCP Clients List eventhough the printer and ADSL Modem do.  I can't Ping the IP address because it is not listed in instructions.

I do not understand what you mean by browse the Remote Systems in MAX.  I don't see any function like that, perhaps because there isn't a communication established with the cRio.

Raymond
