Cfp 2020 gives safe mode (Improper installation) error

Please help,
 
We were using CFP 2020 successfully for the past 2 years, (firmware version 10.20)
 
Now we just go in 10 new Cfp2020s,  and they don't work.  They give the message " Safe mode (Improper installation). 
 
Any suggestions you can offer would be great.

Hi Victor,
It sounds like something could have happened to the Compact Flash.  I recommend formatting it and reinstalling the software to your cFP 2020's. 
 
In MAX, expand on the "Remote Systems" Tab. Right click on your FieldPoint Controller and select "Format Disk". This will format the flash memory on your FieldPoint Controller. You can then reinstall all needed software components to the controller.

Hi,
 
We are seeing the same behaviour as the original post.  Formatting the flash doesn't seem to help -- when we go to setup the IP address we still get the "Safe mode (Improper installation)."  We have made sure the dip switches are not set for Safe Mode. 
 
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi Khalid,

I have seen this error resolved by reinstalling software on the controller.  For example, see this thread.  In safe mode, uninstall and reinstall the software on the controller and then reboot.  If that does not work, the next step would be to reinstall software on the host PC and then the controller.
