DB25 to DB9 serial port

Hello,

Is it possible to connect to a FP-1000 using a DB9 to DB25 converting piece to hook up the serial connection to the printer port of my laptop??

If so, how do I accomplish this?

I have tried all of the possible COMM connections with the mating piece in place, and none seem to work.

Hello astjohn,

The FieldPoint serial communication is built assuming that you will be using the COM port. You can mimic anything in between the FP-1000 so as long as the communication port on the FieldPoint sees a RS232 protocol and the computer sees a 232 COM port.
