Grisel,
The way the browse functionality works is through broadcast UDP. Broadcast messages will only propogate through a local subnet and will get blocked by a router. This is why you are unable to browse to the module. However, by knowing the IP address, you are still able to remotely communicate with the module as you have found. Once you have typed in the IP (Tools >> Device Location), you should have full configuration access to the FP-20xx, as well as the ability to find and configure the I/O. The fact that you are having trouble with the Find Devices command generally indicates one of two things. First, a Find Devices will almost always fail if you have two FP-2000's or an FP-2000 and a computer with the same IP address. Second, if the IA Control enviro
nement has not successfully launched, the I/O modules will not be online or configurable (IA Control environement does not handle FP-2000 Ethernet configuration). To see if this is the case, you can look at the Ready LED's on the modules. If the IA Control Environment is not coming up properly, re-install the firmware of the FP-2000.

Aaron
