FieldPoint 5 driver installer

Am I missing something or is the choice to include the FieldPoint 5 drviers in the "Additional Installers" section of an Installer build spec in LabVIEW 8 missing.

I'm trying to build an installer that includes the LV RTE and the FieldPoint 5 drivers for distribution, but the FP drivers are not in the list. (yes, I do have them installed)

Is this not an available option or is something wrong.

Ed,

You should have an option in the additional installer section of LabVIEW 8 to include NI-FieldPoint 5.  If you do not see this option, there might have been a problem with the FieldPoint installation or the order in which you installed LabVIEW 8 and the FieldPoint driver.

To try to resolve your problem, you could uninstall your current installation of FieldPoint 5 and reinstall.  When reinstalling, download the FieldPoint 5 driver from our website, extract it to some location on your hard drive, and install the driver from there.  After installing the driver do not delete the installation files.  Please make sure to first uninstall the FieldPoint driver before reinstalling.  If you try to install the driver over an existing install, the installer will find the installed components and not add or overwrite any files.

Hopefully after doing this, and restarting your computer, you will have FieldPoint 5 as an option in Additional Installers section of LabVIEW 8.

Thanks Jesse,

I'll give that a shot when I have the chance. I'm on a different project right now and not sure when I'll get back to that one.
