Fieldpoint Refnum cluster as global or functional global?

Does anyone have any working examples of
storing the FP Refnum cluster returned
from the Fieldpoint Open VI as a global
or a functional global? I would then
like to Read data using this global
and eventually close the connection
using the same global.

Hi,

In this case I would suggest you to place a FP Open.vi on the block diagram, create an indicator for the "FP refnum out". Now open a new Global variable and copy the indicator created to the Global variable front panel.

Save the Global and You should be able to use that Refnum as long as it is open.
