HELP ! need to configure an added module to TB-10

I am very new to the Fieldpoint system and I am following up on someone's work. I am confused about the following
1. I launch my FP Explorer. I see 2 devices in my server (FP-2000 @0 and FP-TB-10 @1 -- what do the @0 and @1 mean?) and withing these devices I see a number of items/channels.
By clicking on 'start monitoring' all items are successfully monitored and their icons turn blue.
How do I know for sure that my fieldpoint explorer is talking to the FP system, or in other words('since my computer and FP system communicate via internet'), where is the internet setting located. how to verify that.

2.I have replaced an IO module in my TB-10.(to an AO-V10B)
How do I modify its configuration in my FP Explorer.
Whe
n I try to edit the existing item for the replaced module, and I click on the 'type' to change it to 'Analog Output', I get the choice (in 'Channels used on this system' section) to check only 2 boxes corresponding to channels ,but the ones for another channel(another AO module).
Why is this happening. What do I do ? Please advise.

Based on someone's kind response I will follow on with more queries.
can someone please help me in his/her earliest convenience?

1. The @0 and @1 denote the location of the module in the bank. For example, the FP-2000 is at location 0 in the bank. This means it is the first module. The FP-TB-10 is at location 1, meaning it is the second module in the bank. Here is an example of the FP bank layout:

|@0 | @1 | @2 | @3 | @4 | @5 | @6 | @7 | @8 | @9 |

After clicking start monitoring, the icons turn blue. You can tell that you are communicating, by looking under the Status column. If you are not communicating, the status will say something like "Connection Broken".

2. In order for the FP Bank to detect your new AO-V10B module, you must right click on the FP Bank and select "Find Devices". This will cause your FP Bank to search for new devices. After you have done this, you can c
lick on the FP-TB-10 and you should see two of the channels as Analog Output.

I understand what the @0 and @1 mean.

Now what is the FP "Bank". Maybe I know it by another name. Can you please describe what you mean by that?

I'm not sure if I was clear enough.
Attached is a word doc with images from the FP Explorer.

I haven't made wiring connections from my application to the AO-V10B module yet, but when I right-click on the replaced channel to 'edit this item..'..the dialogue box (2nd fig in the file) shows.
The channels from my new AO module are not configured correctly.
Intuitively, I try to change the 'type' in this dialogue box to 'Analog Output'.
what results is what appears in Fig 3. Only channels (6 and 7) and av
ailable to check. (which happen to be those for another AO module on my TB-10.
What do I do to set all this right, to set the channels to the right type.

Also, as it appears in the FP Explorer window.....what is the deal with the 'range' column.

The FP Bank just refers to the actual FP modules. When you have more than one module, you have a "bank" of modules.

You cannot configure the channels to be Analog Output, once the AO module is detected, the channels will automatically be configured as voltage.

According to your screenshot, you need to right-click on "AeolusFP" and select "Edit this Com Resource" then click the "Find Devices" button. Once you click the button, it will find the AO module in your FP-TB-10. The Range will then say Volts rather than Boolean.

You will know this because the Range will be of type Volts rather than type Boolean. If a module is not detected, it will have a range of type Boolean.
