How do I revert a computer from Datasocket 4.0 to Datasocket 3.0

I have Datasocket 3.0 on the computer which I am using to develop my software but I inadvertantly installed 4.0 on the test machine. I have unistalled version 4.0 but just can't seem to get version 3.0 installed and running correctly.
I think that some of the keys will need removing from the registry but I don't want to perform surgery blind. Has anyone fixed this problem in the past?
