How to Output Variable Voltage at >10mA Current

I've been trying to figure out how to supply variable voltage using my Compact FieldPoint system at a greater than 10 mA current. When I first bought the system, I got the AO module thinking that I could do this, but I neglected to read the part in the data sheet where it says the max current without external power is 1mA, and the max power with external power is 10mA. By the way, the outputs will still be in the 0-10V range, but they just have more current requirements.

Does anyone know of a way to connect loads to an analog output compact fieldpoint module requiring >10mA and <1A without the use of external circuitry? If external circuitry is required, could anyone recommend a circuit that allows more current while still being able to control the voltage as accurately as the AO modules do?

Thanks,
-Matt

Matt,
FYI, there are current output modules that can produce up to 20mA of current:

If you do need a controlled voltage, then it looks like you are going to need external circuitry.

Matt,

Unfortunately, there are no FieldPoint or Compact FieldPoint modules that will give you a 0 -10 V output at up to 1 Amp. You will need to use external circuitry.
