Is it possible to control and monitor a touch screen connected directly to the serial port of a FP-2XXX running LV-RT?

May be I was dreaming ( isn't sad when you dream about hardware?) but I am confident that I have seen that there are touch screens available for FP-RT modules.

My search of the site has come up empty!

Has this been done?

What does NI recomend/or support?

What kind of code is available that will get me started?

Wondering if I need a vacation,

Yes, it is easily possible. I have personally used Matrix Orbital serial LCD displays and QSI serial LCD displays. QSI also offers touch screen modules (I experimented with one very briefly). For information on a QSI Display with touchpad, see the following link:

QSI (www.qsicorp.com) also offers other types of displays that have been successfully used with FP-RT controllers. There should be other LabVIEW drivers available from their web site for some of their other displays.
