RT controller error: "No memory information is available"

I am using LabViewRT and a FieldPoint target.

Recently, the memory on my RT controller became full.  It was filled with DataLog files that I have since cleared from the system.  After removing the files, I had to reboot the RT controller (and restart the computer) to get my program to work properly.

For the program to work as it always has, I have to reboot the RT controller, restart the computer, run the deployment vi, close LabView, and run the deployment vi again each time I start the program.  Otherwise, in place of the usual Used / Free memory display, I see the following message:
    "No memory information is available"
This message is sometimes followed by a popup window that says "Waiting for RT engine (SWEcontroller) to respond", which disappears within 10 seconds.  ("SWEcontroller" is the name of my RT controller.)

After this message comes up, I am able to run the hardware connected to the RT controller in the usual manner, even though I get another error message:
    !Hardware! airScrubberPump (VFD) [ONLINE] <none>
    !Hardware! roInletPump (VFD) [ONLINE] <none>
    !Hardware! wastewaterTank41Flow (VFD) [ONLINE] <none>
    !Hardware! wastewaterPump (VFD) [ONLINE] <none>
    !Hardware! agitator (VFD) [ONLINE] <none>
    !Hardware! boostPump (VFD) [ONLINE] <none>
    !Hardware! highShearPump (VFD) [ONLINE] <none>
    !Hardware! grinderPump (VFD) [ONLINE] <none>
    !Hardware! toFlocculationPump (VFD) [ONLINE] <none>
    !Hardware! trashPump (VFD) [ONLINE] <none>

I am also able to write DataLog files to the RT controller even after these error messages occur.  Can anyone help me figure out what is going on or how I can prevent these errors from happening again?

Thanks,
Kate

Hi Kate!

Thank you for contacting National Instruments.  From what you have described here, it looks like you are getting a significant amount of errors, but in the end the program is still functioning.  Are there corresponding error codes that are provided with many of these errors?  Sometimes these can be very helpful in investigating error and warning messages.

When you removed the files from the target previously, did you do this by reformatting the internal CompactFlash memory?  If not, and you have all of the files that you would be needed to reload from scratch, it might be a good idea to format the drive.

I hope this helps.  Let me know if there is anything else I can help with or clarify.  Have a great day!
