RT controller setup in MAX

I was trying to change IP address of cFP2120.
 
In remote system, I could change the IP address and it was showing "connected-Running" in the right bottom corner of MAX. But I could not ping that IP address.
Then I clicked Find device, it show "Can not find the item name, the reason is 1, connection is broken; 2, the device not power on"
 
There are no software shown in MAX under this controller. So I tried to install or upgrade software, but Add/remove software funtion got error message 56:timeout.
 
My PC and RT controller are using same subnet IPs.
 
Any ideas?

Hi Ya-hoo,
 
Were you able to communicate with the controller before?  If I am understanding correctly, it sounds like you changed the IP address of the controller to one that your computer can't see, so when the controller got reset with the new IP you could no longer access it.  If this is the case, the best thing to do is reset the controller (using the RESET dip switch) to clear the IP you gave it.  It should then show up again in MAX as IP 0.0.0.0.  Then you can give it a new IP, hopefully one that your computer can access.
 
I do  think it's a little strange that your computer can't see the controller even though it's on the same subnet.  Do you have any kind of firewall/virus protection software running on your computer that might be blocking certain IP addresses?
