Great! Glad that fixed it.
Obviously, be careful if you install this older software on another PC without applying the .zip patch, because you will run into the problem again. I suggest either upgrading your version of MAX in the future to 4.1 or higher, and/or keeping this zip file around so you can patch future installs if necessary.
