What real-time os is running on field point controllers?

What real-time os is running on field point controllers that works with LabVIEW RT? Also, is it possible to program in something other than LabVIEW RT for a application to run on the field point controllers?

I use Fieldpoint Explorer to continously display digital values of 4 to 20 ma signals from 40 different in-plant locations (we are a gray iron foundry). In the background I also process this data in Lookout and once a day archive a snapshot of the scaled engineering values to a *.csv worksheet.

We do not release information on the real-time OS used on our FieldPoint RT modules. The OS running on the controller is customized for use on the FieldPoint RT modules and for use with LabVIEW RT. Because of this customization, running programs other than LabVIEW RT is not possible on FieldPoint RT modules.

I heard from a National Instruments employee that the OS is a PharLap realtime OS. An earlier reply indicated that it has been customized by NI for the FieldPoint application. Looking at other PharLap software products may give you some information on its performance and capabilities, though.
