cFP 2100

We testing lab have a cFP 2100 system, which does some tests through a special flow controlled by a embeded program (embeded in cFP 2100). Recently, for makeing some other tests of different flow, we developed a desktop program by Labview to control cFP 2100 directly. We hope the two program will run normally and independently. But the new program often came into conflict with the old one. For avoid conflict, we try to re-download the embeded program into the ROM of cFP 2100. Unfortunately, the worst thing occured - the computer can not communication with cFP 2100. And the led "Status" flashes on and off. Q1: Why is there a clash between the two programs? Q2: How to recover the communicaiton with the computer and the cFP 2100? Thank you very much. Deeper 2010-12-1

Hi Deeper.  Are you able to see the cFP-2100 controller in MAX?  If you can, it may have an unconfigured IP address.  Configure the IP address and netmask (and

gateway, if needed), then reboot the controller and see if the status light clears.

If you can not see it in MAX, reboot the controller with dipswitch 8 set (I am pretty sure it is 8 to reset the IP address, I don't have a controller in front of me at

the moment.  The label on the side will confirm.).  This should force the IP address to be unconfigured, then proceed to set it.  Don't forget to clear dipswitch 8

after rebooting and before setting the IP address.

Let us know if that makes any progress.

Matt
