Hello and thanks to NI for this forum. I am doing an power measuring system and my Labview
software is ahead of the cFP hardware guys. I have DCVoltage sensors and DC Current sensors
waiting to be installed. In order to find power I just have to convert the currents from the DC voltage
sensors to Volts? and then convert the DC Current sensors to DC Current? then multiply VI to get my
power? Since I havent seen one of these sensor work is there an example of convertiing the milliamps
to Volts from one of these sensors? Is there a straight conversion and is this simple math I do on the
block diagram of my VI? same question for the DC Current sensor. Thanks very much in advance.
I have done many searches in the Fieldpoint forum and I couldnt find any similar posts. NOt that I am
good at searches. All these sensors are Fieldpoint sensors sending current to a single backplane controlled
by a cFP2020.

Hi paulgt3,
What are the outpus of your sensors: current of voltage? What Compact FieldPoint modules do you plan on using to read your sensors? Are you planning on using LabVIEW Real-Time on the cFP-2020 or use it as a network module?
If you get a cFP-AI-110 you can read either voltage or current. If your sensors output voltage or current then the datasheet will tell you how to convert that voltage/current into what the actually measurement was.
