fieldpoint data logger does not time or date stamp in tab delimited txt file

LV>help>examples>hardware input output>fieldpoint>datalogging fieldpoint datalogger is on the host machine.  It is logging all channels from cfp 2120 correctly, but enters the same time stamp for every record and it does not enter a date stamp.  Any suggestions?  Thanks...

fishes,

Have you set the time server for your FieldPoint?  To do this, follow the procedure in this KnowledgeBase article.  Hope this helps!

I did that.  It writes the same time stamp to each record.  The data below is logging at once per second.  Note the timestamp....

If you go into MAX and read the channels of the module under Data Neighborhood, do the values update properly and does the timestamp update?  If you dont have something connected to a channel, the status may say something like "out of range" and not update the timestamp.  Let me know if this is the case for you.

thanks for your help... I appreciate......Everything updates normally and looks a ok in MAX.  I have 3 I/O modules and all channels in all 3 are functioning properly and status is "successful."

What happens if you create a new VI and read the time stamps from the FieldPoint in a loop?  Do you see the same behavior?

Brian:  Sorry I have not replied sooner.   I have had a myriad of other problems.  The VI is a Labview example that came with LV 8.5 and was published in the examples section of the help files.  Should I assume it is broken and does not work? I am taking a LV class next week. Perhaps we can explore this further there.  Thanks for you help.

P.S. The time stamp works fine if you log to an html file.....there is a subvi that specifies an html file.  I assume, with my limited knowledge of LV that this specification may be the reason the time stamp does not log to a txt file...... I am leaving it here for now. thanks for the assistance.
