fp-1000 ALL not reading

I have previously been using the old FieldPoint Explorer to configure a customers remote monitoring system FP-1000 with FP-AI-110 module.

I am not moving to MAX (or at least attempting to find the same functionality in MAX) and having problems with reading the data.

I imported the .IAK file that I have always used in FP-Explorer into MAX.

I believe when I hit "SAVE" that the IAK should be downloaded to the FP-1000 <- is this true?

In my IAK file I have individual channels configured for analog current input for channels 0-7.  I also have an ALL item that is supposed to read all of the channels data back in an array.

When I navigate to the FP-AI-110 module, click the run button and apply test current to the inputs, I can see the values change on the individual channels, but the ALL item reading only changes when I am sending current to channel 0.

Is there a way in MAX to check if ALL is actually reading ALL channels?

Is the above behavior the expect behavior in MAX?

I have the latest Firmware downloaded to the unit, Version 030.  At least this is the latest firmware I could find on NI.com for the FP-1000.

In LabVIEW using an FP_Read and referencing the IO Point for ALL - I do get the values for all channels in an array and get the correct readings.

Hello Ryan,

What version of the FieldPoint drivers do you have?  What version of Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) do you have?

Could you please post a screenshot from Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) so that we can see?

Thanks!

In MAX under Software:

FieldPoint: 5.0.3009  path c:\Program Files\National Instruments\FieldPoint

Under FieldPoint is LabVIEW interface: 5.0.1.3009  path C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.2\VI.LIB\FieldPoint\subVIs\FPLVMgr.dll

You can see that the individual readings are correctly showing up - my question is the ALL item at the top of the list only shows the reading of channel 0.  Is this because it is only showing the 0th index of ALL the channels in the array of data?

Hi Ryan,

"Is this because it is only showing the 0th index of ALL the channels in the array of data?"

Yes, this is the case.  ALL contains all of the channel information, but it only displays the 0th index of data on that particular screen.

Take care!
