Hi,
Is it possible to log the output states of cards? For example, if I have a switch in my Flexlogger project that controls a relay output on an NI9482 (through a NI9185), I'd like to log the relay output state along with the rest of my data.
Is this currently possible? Or is it possible to add in a future release?
Thank you

Hello rdenham,
At the moment, there is a not a way of logging output channels within FlexLogger. Would you mind providing a few examples where this would be useful to you so we can use that as information regarding this feature request? How would you like to use this logged output data along side the rest of your data from a post-processing standpoint? Feel free to reply on this thread or reaching out directly to my email (tommy.glicker@ni.com).
Thanks,
Tommy

Hey Tommy,
Here are some examples:
- If I command 3 valves open and 2 valves closed, I'd like to be able to check back in post processing to see the current state of the system.
- If I command a single valve to open, I'd like to be able to see the time difference between the command being sent and the pressure spike caused by the valve opening.
I could wire up an analog input card to capture this, but it would be much easier to just record the outputs.
I've also found it really helpful that Flexlogger records the serial numbers of the analog input cards in the device. It'd be great if it could also get the serial numbers of the digital output devices too.
Thanks,
Rafe
