info interface labview with adam4117

Hi everyone!!!

I need some info about the interface a ADVANTECH ADAM4117 device with LabView.

I have used MAX but he doesn't see the module

I have use also with the EXPRESS that are in the Labview but again it doesn't see the module.

I have used the MODBUS PROTOCOL but no result in this

Can some one help me?

Hi, I never used such a module, but looking at its documentation I noticed that it uses RS422 standard for communications so the first item to check is whether your PC has a RS422 output or not. In case it hasn't, you can use some protocol converter (e.g. from RS232 to RS422) that are available on the market to communicate with the module using standard VISA serial VIs. Check with your Advantech distributor: he should be able to suggest you some product to use.
