This NI page below points to a zip file. Not a vip. I heard there is a VIP file but there's nothing listed inVIPM.

If there's an official installer, please post it, or at least a page somewhere on this community with instructions on how to get it.
Or just ship it with LabVIEW.

I have vip files for the OpenGDS, that you can upload if you like.
There were some issues before to install these large vip-files, but I think it should work now.

What is the difference between NI GOOP Development Suite and OpenGDS ?
Does NI plan to release a GDS installer for LabVIEW 2015 through real VIPM integration? So the product will be maintenaid up to date automatically ?

Think of OpenGDS as the current evolving codebase (basically just Mikael at this stage). Occasionally he submits the changes over to NI's repository which is then re-branded as NI GOOP Development Suite.
At this stage, for all intents and purposes, you can think of them as the same except that OpenGDS contains the newer features and bug-fixes.
