I am working on a project which has limited space to put cDAQ or cRIO chassis in, looking for a extreme compact solution.
I have 1 load cell channel, 1 or 2 strain gauge channels, need log data locally since this is stand alone application. Running on a battery is ideal but 24Vdc may be available if required.
I wonder if NI single board RIO could be a solution.
Anyone has this type of experience?
Thank you for your time to read and reply me.
Have a wonderful weekend.

A few questions:
Sample rate
Duration of recording
Continous or burst
Signal characteristics for each sensor
File formal: ASCII or binary
My logger can operate on 6-48 VDC with a max capacity of 8 GB,
Logger current consumption exclusive of sensors = 60 mA.

Matt. What is extreme compact? I think you could fit a SB RIO solution into something approx 6"x8"x2" or a SOM RIO solution into 3"x3"x2" or so. It sounds like your not afraid of designing a carrier board so I would look at the SOM RIO. Super small with lots of flexibility. You would have to design the power supply and measurement interface circuits though. This can be pretty straight forward with a few datasheets and a board layout program like NI Ultiboard. If your not so interested in developing your solution internally I would check out NI's alliance partners at https://www.ni.com/en/partners.html. There are a number who likely have a solution.
Good luck
