Communicating with a LeCroy scope using TCP/IP

I am trying to communicate with a LeCroy scope (wavemaster8500) over TCP/IP. When using LeCroy pre-prepared drivers it works fine, but when using the basic visa vi, the scope does not respond to the commands

Hi,

How are you opening a session to the instrument? I have limited experience with using VISA to talk to an instrument over TCP/IP but I believe you would use a resource string like TCPIP::IP::INSTR.
