Converting labview files

Heey everyone,

i have a small question about Labview:

Is it possible to convert Labview files from version 8.2.1 to labview version 6.1?

If so please post the solution on how to do so because that will save me A LOT of work, i tried to simply copy the files from 8.2.1 into 6.1 but then i only get a picture.

Thank you all!

You would first select File>Save for Previous Version and save it as 8.0. With LabVIEW 8.0, you would save it for 7.1. With LabVIEW 7.1, you would save it for 7.0. With LabVIEW 7.0, you would save it for 6.1. Without all of the intermediate versions (8.0,7.1,7.0) you cannot save for 6.1.

p.s. Please pay attention to the board that you are posting to. This question has nothing to do with NI digitizers.

If you post your VIs to the main LabVIEW board with a nicely worded request, someone will usually convert them for you.  If you get them back to 7.0 before posting, the odds of it happening would be increased.  Note that a lot of major features happened between 6.1 and 8.2.  You will likely need to fix things on the finished VIs.
