Error Reading Configuration File - Ni-Scope 2.14,soft front panel 1.51

I was using the scope this morning with no trouble, then I went into the help to learn a bit about triggering, when I went back to using it the way I normally would I got the following error:
Errror reading configuration file
Autosetup will run instead.
I click ok it does something and then comes back with
Initialization Error:

Ensure that your scope device is properly installed and is not in use by another process, then try again.

NI scope is the only application running, I have reinstalled the drivers and the software, still the same message.

The device works in the test panel in MAX.

Ideas?

In some cases, the configuration file can become corrupt, leading to the type of behavior you see. Since the configuration file is not installed, but generated the first time you use the soft front panel, the installer does not overwrite it. To cure the problem, delete the configuration file. It is in the same directory as the Scope-SFP (C:\VXIPnP\WINxx\niscope). It will be named something like ScpSFPCfg_xxx.h5 where xxx is the DAQ device number of the scope.
