NI 5102 bandwidth limitation?

I have been using NI5102 cards for many years but the other day something strange happened. Channel 0 on one card suddenly acquired a low-pass filter with cut-off around 10 kHz. Quite similar to bandwidth limitation on an oscilloscope. The other channel was perfectly normal. We exchanged NI5102's between two computers and the problem followed the card. Have no idea what this is, it seems too well behaved to be a card hardware error.

Hello!

The only possible reason I can think of is that your 5102 digitizer is damaged somehow, since the behavior you are experiencing with the board applies to one channel only and is not depending on the computer it is mounted in. I could not find any similar problem description either and I doubt that you have bandwidth problems considering the 15MHz bandwidth on the board, the onboard sample memory and such.

Have you another 5102 board so you can test and see if you encounter the same problem?

If you would like to repair the board contact National Instruments in Sweden and they will be able to help you.
