Problems installing a PXI 5112 (Rev C)

I have a PXI-1042 Chassis and am trying to install a PXI 5112 that I inherited. the S/n on this says XXXXXXC-01 Rev1. I have more or less the latest versions of Labview, NIDAQ etc. I also installed ScopeSFP 1.6 and NI-SCOPE 2.4.1 (the latest versions downloaded). I got a 10840 error, which was described in the NI KnowledgeBase as an error due to the wrong version of Scope. I downloaded older versions of scope, but it seems to require older versions of Nidaq. Can i have multiple versions of Nidaq installed ? If not, how do i install appropriate drivers for this module. I have other Traditional Daq modules in the chassis that work fine.

Thanks,

Here is a follow up - i think i looked at the wrong place for the assembly/part number. for reference, I am trying to install a PXI-5112 device in a PXI-1042 chassis. There are other devices in the chassis that work fine.

The number on the board itself is 184196E-01. I am using NI-DAQ 7.0. When I install NI-SCOPE 2.1.4 and ScopeSFP 1.5.1 i get the following error message

Error occured at: niScope Cal Self Calibrate.vi
Error Description: (Hex 0xBFFA4001) Software failure occured during operation

I also tried NI-SCOPE 1.6.1, since an earlier posting in NI's knowledgebase points to scope 1.6.1 (and later) for Revision E devices. Here i get the following error message

Error occured at: niScope Cal Self Calibrate.vi
Error Description: (Hex 0xBFFA4001) Funct
ion or method not supported.

I did try to run the test panels in MAX - it recognizes the device and the resource test passes but the test panel returns an error -10800, which i guess is a timeout.

Most everything installed on my system is from the recent May 2003 CD's, so it should be reasonably new.

If anyone has any suggestions on what the issue might be, or how it can be resolved I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Manish,

I sent you a reply to the e-mail you sent earlier. It seems that some of the gain settings or reset options in the board are being performed at high rate. You need to send this board for repair. Please create a service request at http://www.ni.com/ask and contact the Applications Engineering department directly over the phone.
